M V Jayarajan asks govt to take over Pariyaram Medical College

KANNUR: The CPM will not oppose if the government takes over the Pariyaram Co-operative Medical College, said party leader M V Jayarajan and chairman of the administrative panel of the hospital.

The employees of the Kozhikode Medical College were made permanent when the government took over it. Similarly, the employees of the Pariyaram should also be made permanent, he said.

The party will oppose back seat driving if the government tries for it after taking over the hospital. The UDF had opposed the taking over of the hospital during the tenure of the Nayanar government and they themselves had cancelled the process.

Jayarajan said irregularities were detected when M V Raghavan took over the administration of the hospital. The UDF has now decided to take over the CPM-controlled administrative panel of the hospital due to guiltiness.

The last UDF meet convened asked the government to consider the takeover of the panel headed by Jayarajan.
