KSRTC plunges into deeper crisis


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The KSRTC has again plunged into deeper crisis. The loss of KSRTC has increased even after getting subsidized diesel.

A loss of 152.89 crores was registered in March. When compared to the month of February, an additional loss of 25.5 crores has been noticed.

Meantime, the revenue of KSRTC which was 123.73 cores in February rose to 141.46 crores in March. An increase of 17.73 crores was noted. The reason for the loss was the increase in expense along with the revenue. The corporation had to spend 72.37 crores for diesel in March.  

Meantime, the pension for this month has not been given. Pension for the month of February was given in two phases.

When family pension for 18,000 persons was given on February 6, pension for 22,000 service pensioners was given on February 14.

Pension for the month of March was not given as the corporation plunged into deeper crisis. Pension for month of March was given on April 3.
