Pariyaram: Chandy corrects Ramesh Chennithala

KANNUR: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Thursday said that the state government will not withdraw from the takeover of Pariyaram Medical College. He was speaking to media persons at Payyambalam Guest House.

Chandy’s statement is just opposite to the one delivered by KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala on Wednesday. Ramesh had commented that the government had not decided on whether to take over Pariyaram Medical College or not.

Without hesitation, Chandy said that government has decided to take over Pariyaram and Kochi Co-operative Medical Colleges. He also instructed district collectors concerned to prepare a report on the assets and liabilities of the two institutions.

Chandy also added that he has not heard what KPCC President said on this matter.
