Child trafficking: BJP’s assembly march turns violent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police fired tear gas shells and used water cannons at the assembly march staged by BJP activists seeking a probe by a national agency on the trafficking of children to the state. Several persons sustained injuries in the attack.

The march which started at 11.30 am was blocked 100 metres away from the assembly. The police used water cannons and tear gas when the activists tried to overturn the barricades.
