NEW DELHI: 20 leaders from Kerala including former union ministers were Thursday sworn in as members of Parliament. Lok Sabha secretary general invited the members as per alphabetical order.
When Congress, Muslim League and Kerala Congress (M) MPs took the oath in the name of God, members of the CPM and CPI made a solemn affirmation.
Actor Innocent, who won the polls with the support of Left Front, and Joyce George took the oath in the name of God.
P Karunakaran (Kasargod), P K Sreemathy (Kannur), M K Raghavan (Kozhikode), K C Venugopal (Alappuzha), A Sampath (Attingal), Innocent (Chalakudy) took the oath in Malayalam. Kodikkunnil Suresh took the oath in Hindi and the others in English.
