THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The sale of liquor increased after the closure of bars, Excise Minister K Babu told the assembly. Sale of seven lakh litres were witnessed in the month of May, he said.
KPCC chief V M Sudheeran had stated earlier that the consumption of liquor reduced after the bars were closed. The statement of Babu is just the opposite. The policy of the government to prohibit liquor will be executed in phases, he said.
