THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Manjusha and her lover Aneesh, who are in the judicial custody for allegedly strangulating the former’s daughter, were taken to Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu for further investigation and collection of evidence on Tuesday.
The police will take them to hotels and places where they were hiding after the murder. They will also collect evidence from the shop where Aneesh pawned gold to raise the money needed for running away to some faraway place.
Nedumangadu CI Rajesh Kumar will lead the investigation. From Tamil Nadu, the police will take them back to Aneesh’s house. The main purpose will be to find out the shawl used for strangling the girl. The court had earlier ordered six days’ police custody of the accused.
