Shocking details of Nedumangadu murder: Life pulsated in her before she was dumped in well; mother strangled daughter to confirm death!

NEDUMANGADU: The police have sought the custody of Manjusha, who allegedly eliminated her daughter Meera (16) for leading a happy life with her paramour Aneesh, for further investigation. They have also sought the custody of Aneesh. The period of custody requested is one week.

During the questioning, the couple had reportedly confessed to the police that both strangled Meera, who was sitting on a cot, with her shawl and dumped her in a well near Aneesh’s house.
Meanwhile, police doubt whether Meera was pushed into the well before she died or not. Police are trying to find this out from forensic experts and doctors who did the post-mortem.

“When the attempt was being made to kill Meera, it was raining heavily outside. Both were in anxiety, then, to dump her body in the well before rain stopped.
Presuming her to be dead, the couple shifted Meera to Karanthal on his bike. When they laid her in the thicket near the well, she seemed to have cried in a slender voice. Manju soon went towards her and chocked her neck once again to confirm that she was dead. During this time Aneesh, went near the well and removed its cap. Later they pushed the body into the well,” according to the confessions made during the questioning.

Now, it has to be confirmed whether Meera died after falling into the well and whether she died after water entered her lungs.

The police suspect the murder to be a planned one as Aneesh had sent his mother to his sister’s house before taking the body to the well.

Police said the allegation against Meera that she had relationships with several youths in her area was a story created in an act of vengeance.
The police, however, have ruled out the role of any other person in the unscrupulous murder of the girl.
