Friday, December 23, 2011: One person was killed when a tempo van collided with a lorry near Pappanamcode here on Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as Sanu (42), hailing from Kollam, police told.The accident occurred at 6.30 in the morning. Both the vehicles were completely destroyed in the impact. Sanu, the lorry driver, was taken out by the fire force personnel and police after cutting open the vehicle with metal shears.
Even though he was immediately rushed to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical college hospital his life couldn’t be saved.
