Friday, December 30, 2011: PSC chairman Dr. KS Radhakrishnan has called for an urgent meet today to discuss the extension of validity of the PSC rank lists. The meeting will be held at 3pm today.The Government had recommended for extending the validity of rank lists to April 30. But the meeting of the commission has decided not to extend the rank lists of which the term would end by December 31.
Meanwhile the state government on Thursday gave an ultimatum to the Public Service Commission (PSC) in connection with the extension of validity of the rank lists. Even though the government had recommended for extending the validity the request was turned down by the PSC.
