Thursday, December 29, 2011: The Lok Ayukta has on Thursday asked the Kerala University to cancel all the appointments made to the assistant grade posts in 2008 as the process then was not transparent.
The Lok Ayukta also directed to take legal action against the Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, registrar and other four-syndicate members. The present appointments must be cancelled and a new examination must be conducted into the said vacancies, Lok Ayukta informed.
In a probe by Lokayuktha on May 2011, it was found out that as many as 40,000 answer sheets of assistant grade examination were either destroyed or missing. But former VC MK Ramachandran Nair said to TV channels that Lokayuktha only made the report and there was no fraud in appointments.
