Saturday, September 10, 2011: The Crime Branch, investigating the
circumstances leading to the suicide of Alapuzha principal sessions
judge P K Baburaj, has sought permission to take the statements of two
judges of the Kerala High Court.
Court sources said that crime branch officials had sent a request in
this regard by post and they had been informed that the Court Registry
can neither permit nor decline it.
The officials have been asked to contact the two judges and seek their permission, they said.
Alapuzha Crime branch had sought to take the statements of Justice S
Sirijagan, who is in-charge of Alapuzha district and Justice Pious
Kuriakose, President, Kerala Judicial Academy.
Baburaj had been found hanging at his residence on July 2 this year.
