Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy Thursday admitted meeting a group of US officials in 2008, but asserted that if there was a WikiLeaks expose on it, no one would get anything against him.
Speaking to reporters here after the weekly cabinet meeting, Chandy said: 'I agree that I also met US officials but you won't get anything in case there is a leak because I have told them the same thing I have been saying all these years, so there is nothing new and it won't make any news for you.'

Chandy's remark comes two days after former Kerala finance minister and Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Thomas Isaac admitted meeting US officials in 2008 but denied that it was an attempt to attract foreign investment to the state.
Isaac was speaking here on a newspaper report pointing to a US diplomatic cable released by WikiLeaks. The cable was sent by a diplomat to the US state department in August 2008.
The WikiLeaks also pointed to former chief minister V.S. Achuthanandan and state CPI-M secretary Pinarayi Vijayan meeting the US officials.
