Friday, September 02, 2011: The Thrissur Vigilance Court deferred to
Tuesday the hearing of plea filed against Minister P K Kunhalikutty
following the complaint that he amassed wealth disproportionate to their
known sources of income.
The plea was filed by National Secular Conference state secretary
Abdul Aziz. The petition alleged that Kunhalikutty owns 13 cents of land
and a house at Thiruvananthapuram, an estate at Wayanad.
The complaint was lodged three years before to the then Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.
It has also been alleged that the 400 crores made by corruption has
been deposited in Seashore Rolling Company abroad and Kunhalikutty’s son
Ashiq is said to be the managing director of it.
The complaint has sought a detailed investigation on the assets of Kunhalikutty.
