Sunday, September 18, 2011: Let the Court take a decision on the controversial SMS case against Water Resources Minister P J Joseph, Chief Minister Oomen Chandy said on Sunday. Speaking to the reporters here, Chandy said that the Court has given Joseph an opportunity to explain his side of the story. LDF has been demanding the resignation of all the ministers in the UDF Cabinet, which is not possible, said the chief minister.
Joseph was summoned by a court for allegedly sending “blank” SMS to a woman from his mobile phone. Joseph, a Kerala Congress (M) nominee in the Congress-led UDF Ministry, was asked by first class judicial magistrate Ravi Chand of Thodupuzha in Idukki district to appear before the court on October 22.
