KOCHI: With only a day to go for ‘Thiruvonam’, the KSRTC on Wednesday operated additional services of low floor AC buses in the Ernakulam-Thiruvananthapuram route to meet the heavy rush of passengers.
By 10 pm, two additional buses started services to Thiruvananthapuram. “Additional services were provided only in the Ernakulam-Thiruvananthapuram route as commuters to Alappuzha and Thiruvananthapuram are more,” said Sebastian Thomas, Zonal Officer, Ernakulam. The cost of the tickets was Rs. 251. Apart from low floor AC bus, the KSRTC also offered services in the ‘Super’ class and ‘Express’ class. The additional services will continue till Monday.
