Saturday, September 03, 2011: The ‘Onam Week’ celebrations organized
by the Tourism department will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Oommen
Chandy on September 7 at Chandrasekhar Nair stadium here.
This was announced by Tourism Minister AP Anilkumar at a press meet held here on Saturday.
The celebration starts on 7th September and ends on 13th September.
The Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium will be the hub of the festivities this
year as well. The celebrations would also host various cultural
programmes.
A pageantry depicting the strides made in various sectors and the
traditional art and dance forms of the State and around 100 floats will
bring down the curtains on Kerala Tourism’s week-long Onam celebrations
on 13th.
