Palmolein case: CM must clarify his stand, says Issac

Saturday, September 10, 2011: The former Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac, MLA, today asked Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to clarify his stand regarding P.C. George’s decision to file a complaint against the Vigilance Court Judge P.K Haneefa, who ordered for a further probe into the Palmolein case.
Speaking to the reporters here on Saturday, Issac asked whether CM was using PC George to communicate his views. In a letter send to President Pratibha Devisingh Patel and Supreme Court Chief Justice, PC George had alleged that the probe was ordered without following the usual procedures.
The judge was deliberately trying to make Chief Minister Oommen Chandy an accused in the case, the letter alleged.
