Wednesday, September 07, 2011: The engine of a goods train derailed
at the Kalamassery station here on Wednesday morning affecting traffic
along the Ernakulam-Shornur route.
The incident took place around 7.45 a.m. while shunting of the goods
train was progressing at the railway yard near Kalamassery. According to
railway officials, normal traffic would be restored by afternoon.
