Saturday, October 8, 2011: The Communist Party of India
(CPM) has written a letter to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy demanding
further probe into the Koothuparambu police firing case on November 25,
1994.
The letter was sent by CPM State Committee member MV Jayarajan.
Oommen Chandy had earlier said that there is no need for further probe
into the case.
Five DYFI workers KK Rajeevan, Chalakutti Babu, Madhu, Roshan and Shibulal were killed during the police firing.
