Emerging Kerala projects to be re-examined, says Chandy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said the government will re-examine the projects of Emerging Kerala. Briefing reporters after the weekly cabinet briefing, he said the government has entrusted the chief secretary for it.

Chandy said, “No MoU will be signed in Emerging Kerala. Instead ideas will be shared. The aim of the government is to inform the world that Kerala is an investor friendly state. The government will proceed only after clearing the doubts and complaints leveled in connection with the project. Emerging Kerala is also the venue for it."

Before implementing the projects, an environmental impact study will be conducted. An investor board would be formed before approving the projects, he said.
