Harbour dredging work in time bound manner



KOCHI: Fisheries Minister K Babu said maintenance and dredging works of seven fishing harbours in the state would be completed in a time-bound manner. The Centre had already granted permission for spending Rs 1054 lakh for the maintenance and drudging works of seven fishing harbours and 50 per cent of the cost would be borne by the state government, he said in a release here. Chombal Fishing Harbor in Kozhikode District would get Rs 415 lakh and tenders had already been invited for the work. Neendakara Harbor in Kollam District will get Rs 180 lakh, while for Thattappally Harbor the amount would be Rs 55 lakh, he added.
