‎Covid spread; Kerala tightens night-time curfew, restrictions from Monday‎

‎Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan today said night-time curfew would be implemented from Monday in view of the sharp spread of covid in the state. The Chief Minister said the restriction was from 10 pm to 7 am.‎ ‎The Chief Minister said this at a news conference after the Covid review. The Union Government had proposed to implement night-time curfew in Kerala and Maharashtra, where covid cases have been raised, followed by the government's decision.‎

‎The Chief Minister also said that in view of the rising spread of diseasein the state, it has been decided to introduce lockdown in areas where the weekly outbreak- population ratio is more than seven. In addition, the government has proposed other important measures for the covid defence.‎ ‎One of the most important is that action will be taken to provide rapid treatment to people with related diseases and older people if they are infected with covid. The Chief Minister said that the emphasis will be on providing the best treatment to them.If people with allied diseases do not reach the hospital, the disease is likely to worsen rapidly and cause death. There will be every intervention to avoid it. The first days are very important for allied patients. The Chief Minister also said that in many cases, if you go late to get to the hospital, you will be in a serious situation.‎
