‎The minister and collector arrived with vinod's on-the-go gift, and the wheelchair will now run on the battery‎

‎Alappuzha: Vinod received the batteries of an electric three-wheeler as an on-the-go gift in a tired cherthala porcupine near the waist. The batteries were delivered as onam prizes by Minister P Prasad and Alappuzha District Collector A Alksandar. Vinod was first surprised and then relieved to see the guests who had come home unexpectedly on Thiruvona day. Vinod is a native of Cherthala Anjilipalam.‎



‎Vinod's realization came due to the efforts of the district collector of the place MLA and minister P Prasad. The two arrived with a battery for Vinod's wheelchair, which was paralyzed. Following media reports about Vinod, who had struggled to get the damaged battery of an electronic wheelchair replaced, the district social justice officer, Veende social activists Harikrishnan and Shiva Mohan, along with social workers Harikrishnan and Shiva Mohan, made available new batteries for the wheelchair. It was the minister who came home and gave him the battery.‎ 

‎Vinod says there is a problem with spinning a tyre of a wheelchair and it was fixed by the mechanic yesterday. Vinod's body was paralyzed after an accident while cutting trees in 2007. Vinod's family lives in a small cockroach in The Purambok.‎ ‎Vinod's eldest daughter Aweya had got married the other day. On Aweya's wedding day, the District Collector had also provided funds at her house on the special instructions of the Chief Minister. Vinod is accompanied by his youngest daughter Vinay. District Social Justice Officer A O Abeen, volunteers Harikrishnan, Shivamohan, Prem Sai and Disability Co-operative Society representative Sebastian were present.‎
