‎The covid spread again gave rise to concern, averting today's weekend lockdown in the state‎

‎Thiruvananthapuram: There is no weekend lockdown today, even though the spread of covid in the state is severe. The weekend lockdown was also averted this Sunday in the backdrop of the third onam. Meanwhile, the government is taking seriously the situation in which the covid TPR rate is rising in the state. A kovid review meeting is being held tomorrow under the leadership of the Chief Minister. Discussions on whether further restrictions should be imposed will be held tomorrow.‎

‎Meanwhile, there are cases of covid rising in the state. Yesterday, TPR had risen to 17.73 per cent. TPR reached 17 after 87 days. The Kovid-19 was confirmed to 17,106 people in the state yesterday alone. Malappuram 2558, Kozhikode 2236, Thrissur 2027, Ernakulam 1957, Palakkad 1624, Kollam 1126, Kottayam 1040, Kannur 919, Alappuzha 870, Thiruvananthapuram 844, Wayanad 648, Pathanamthitta 511, Idukki 460 and Kasargod 283 were confirmed in the districts today.‎
