‎RTPCR inspection only in 6 districts; Cm wants inspections to be increased in all districts‎

‎Thiruvananthapuram; At a covid review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, the government said that rtpcr testing was the only test in six districts of the state.‎

‎At present, eighty per cent of vaccination has been completed in Wayanad, Pathanamthitta and Ernakulam districts. In view‎ of the nearer 80 per‎cent vaccination, only RTPCR tests will be conducted in Thiruvananthapuram, Idukki and Kasarkot districts. At the same time, the Chief Minister also suggested an increase in the number of RTPCR inspections in all districts.‎

‎When distributing vaccines to districts, arrangements should be made considering the districts where relatively low levels of vaccination have taken place. Districts should‎ also take care to take stock of vaccination in local bodies and give the vaccine proportionately.‎

A special system will be set up at airports to check those coming from countries where the C1.2 covid variant has been detected. They will be tested‎ by RTPCR and necessary steps will be taken for the quarantine.‎
