Thiruvananthapuram: The spread of covid in Kerala is acute. Today, 21,116 people have been newly confirmed to covid-19. Patients in four districts are above 2000. Most of the cases are in 2873, Malappuram 2824, Ernakulam 2527 and Kozhikode 2401. Palakkad 1948, Kollam 1418, Kannur 1370, Alappuzha 1319, Thiruvananthapuram 955, Kottayam 925, Pathanamthitta 818, Wayanad 729, Kasargod 509 and Idukki 500 were confirmed in other districts today.
Over the past 24 hours, 1,30,768 samples have been tested. The test positivity rate is 16.15. Rutin sample, sentinel sample, CB Nat, Trunat, POCT PCR, RT So far, 2,99,54,145 total samples have been tested, including LAMP and antigen testing.
