‎The attack on the airport shocked the Saudis; Eight injured, plane crashes‎

‎Riyadh: Drone strikes airport in Saudi Arabia. There were two attacks in 24 hours. There was little damage in the first. But the second attack was reportedly carried out by powerful bombs. The Saudis had accused yemen's Huthis of being behind the first attack.‎

‎But it is not yet clear who carried out the new attack. Missiles and drones also arrived in Saudi Arabia after attacks on Saudi-backed government forces in Yemen.‎

‎The attacks on Abaha airport were on Monday night and Tuesday. Saudi government television said the attack was carried out using drones loaded with bombs. There was little loss in the first attack. The army was destroying the missiles before they reached the airport.‎

‎But the second attack was strong. Eight of them were injured. A passenger plane was also damaged, according to a Saudi television report. The attack on Abaha airport comes as the war between saudi troops and Huthis continues in Yemen. So the Huthis are suspected to be behind the attack.‎
