‎Less than 1,600 covid patients in Malappuram; TPR sharply reduced, relief‎

‎Malappuram: Covid patients in the district today number less than 1600. There are about 3,000 cured people. TTR is also lacking today. Less than 30,000 people are being treated in the district for the disease. Those under observation will exceed 75,000. Meanwhile, the district medical officer said that 25 lakh doses of vaccine have been distributed. The state today has the highest number of patients in the District. More than 3,000 confirmed cases were confirmed only in Thrissur. More than 2,000 patients are in Ernakulam district. Kozhikode, Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts have more patients than Malappuram.‎


‎District Medical Officer Dr. K. Sakina said. TPR is 14.32 per cent. 1,458 people were infected through direct contact. The source for 64 people is unclear. Four people from other states have been diagnosed with the disease. Today, 2,757 people have been cleared of covid. There are 75,251 people currently under observation in the district. The district medical officer also informed that so far, there have been 2,023 deaths in the district due to covid cases.‎
