Landslide claims four lives in Kerala

KOZHIKODE: The unanticipated deluge and landslide in the border area of Kozhikode, Kannur and Wayanad claimed four lives including that of a three year old.

Kuttoos, son of Thundathil Biju, died on Monday.

The corpses of Palathodi Gopalan and Putheppuraykkal Varkey were discovered in the morning.

Thundathil Joseph died in the landslide that hit Pullooranpara of Kozhikode district .

Houses and bridges have been destroyed in the flood.

Kannur coast guard has already begun work and RAF has been deployed to the area.

The government has proclaimed holiday for the schools in the calamity-hit areas.
