Mud slip in well traps three, all rescued

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three persons of a family in Kariyidavila in Vizhinjam had been trapped in the mud slip that followed the digging of a well in the compound of their house.

Two persons have been rescued by the fire force and the neighbours earlier while one named Babu (40) of Kottappuram remained trapped under the soil for longer.

He was also rescued after three hours.

Another well was dug earlier but as there was no water to be found, they dug the new well deeper.

The mud from the old well has collapsed into the new well.
