Bomb hoax at school

ALAPPUZHA: A bomb hoax at the venue of a meeting of the Chief Minister at Mahatma High School, Chennithala, on Friday put police officers on their toes. However, the Chief Minister and KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala, MLA, who were attending the diamond jubilee celebrations of the school, had left the venue at 2 pm. According to reports, an unidentified person rang up the school at 3.30 pm and said a bomb had been placed at the school ground. A bomb squad conducted a search on the school campus. It may be recalled that Chennithala had earlier received a death threat.
