Tanker accident: driver surrenders

KANNUR: The driver of the LPG tanker which met with an accident here resulting in the death of nine persons and damages worth crores of rupees, has surrendered at the DySP's office here on Friday.

Kannaiyan hails from Tamil Nadu. He told the police that a vehicle carrying fishes tried to overtake his tanker through the left side and he was forced to turn right. Then he lost control and the tanker hit on the divider and fell upside down.

A case has been registered against Kannaiyan for unintentional murder.
