Two remanded on charge of attacking pregnant woman

ALAPPUZHA: Ambalappuzha First Class Judicial Magistrate remanded a man and his son for attacking a pregnant woman in her house. According to the police the incident took place when a group of people led by Dineshan, 45, and his son, Dinalal, 19, of Tharayil house in Neerkunnam near Ambalappuzha, barged in to the house of Ajimol (24), who was seven months pregnant, and attacked her.

The police have arrested four persons in connection with the incident. Two persons have been granted bail. Dineshan and Dinalal were however refused bail and remanded in judicial custody. The rivalry between Dineshan and Joshi, husband of Ajimol, is said to be the reason behind the attack.
