Acid tanker lorry overturns in Koduvally

KOZHIKODE: A tanker lorry overturned near Koduvally injuring the driver and the cleaner. The incident happened early Wednesday morning at the Koduvally MPC Junction. The tanker lorry involved in the accident was carrying formic acid from Mysore and was on its way to Thrissur.

The two injured has been admitted at the KIMS Hospital in Koduvally. It is suspected that the driver may have slept off at the time of the incident.

The tanker lorry has been shifted from the spot with the help of the fire force from Thamarasseri. The acid has flown onto the road through the air hole of the lorry. As this acid is not as dangerous as the other acids, there is no scope for a casualty. Meantime, transportation in these routes has been temporarily suspended.
