Move to grant Kochi Medical College autonomous power

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Sources close to Kochi Co-operative Medical College revealed that there has been a move to grant autonomous power to the college, thereby satisfying the interests of some political leaders and officials.

The state government had decided to take over the college. This may result in the removal of college director and several officers from their posts. The secret move is to prevent this.
