Doctors in PSC list lack quality, says PSC Chairman

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) Chairman Dr. K.S. Radhakrishnan has sent a letter to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Wednesday alleging that those doctors in the rank list of Assistant Surgeons in Health Department published by PSC after conducting interviews only lack quality.

The five-page letter was handed over to Chandy by Radhakrishnan in person at noon. Chandy will hand it over to Health Ministry. Radhakrishnan pointed that Health Ministry should initiate procedure on the instruction of Chief Minister.

Some of the allegations pointed out in the letter are: doctors lack general knowledge; don’t read newspapers; know nothing about medicine field; have no connection with rural areas; know nothing of medical ethics; no clinical experience; reluctance to serve in rural areas; interest to work privately after ensuring government job; bad attitude towards the public.
