Monday, September 19, 2011: CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday sought immediate action against cops for assaulting SFI activists who were protesting against the petrol price hike. The UDF is trying to restrain protests. Many of us have seen the pictures of DCP Rajpal Meena assaulting SFI leader Raheem in dailies. We’ve also seen the tortures of police. More agitations would be launched if tried to suppress protests, Pinarayi said.
