Explanation sought on unruly scenes at Kannur DCC office

Saturday, September 03, 2011 The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has sought an explanation on the unruly scenes at Kannur DCC office on August 31.
Explanation has been sought from DCC president P Ramakrishnan and KPCC executive member M Narayanankutty. Instructions have been given to submit a report within 15 days regarding the same.

Earlier report: -
Clashes were reported at the Kannur DCC office on Wednesday morning. DCC president P Ramakrishnan was not allowed to enter his office by Congress activists led by AICC member Suma Balakrishnan and Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) member M Narayanan Kutty.
Ramakrishnan held a sit-in to protest against this under a tree in front of the office. The Congress activists shouted slogans seeking Ramakrishnan to apologise for his alleged statements against K Sudhakaran, MP, and end promoting ‘groupism’ in the party.
Kutty told reporters that Ramakrishnan was solely responsible for the current situation. He had been DCC President for the past four years and could not cooperate with Sudhakaran.
While Ramakrishnan could not solve the intra-party problems, he took action by dismissing activists from the Congress, he claimed.
