Monday, September 5, 2011: New milk price came into effect from Monday.
The price per litre of double-toned milk gone up from Rs 22 to Rs 27,
toned milk from Rs 23 to Rs 28, homogenized toned milk from Rs 25 to Rs
30, homogenized Jersey milk from Rs 25 to Rs 30, non-homogenized Jersey
milk from Rs 25 to Rs 30, Rich Plus milk from Rs 26 to Rs 31, and
standardized milk from Rs 26 to Rs 31.
The revised price of skimmed milk curd would be Rs 17 for a 500-gm
pack. Milk and milk products would be sold in packets containing the old
price for some more time because of the delay in getting packets with
the new prices printed on them.
