Ice cream case: HC directs to submit case diary

September 5, 2011: The Kerala High Court while considering the plea filed by Opposition Leader VS Achuthanandan seeking CBI probe into sensational ice cream parlour case directed to submit case diary in connection with the case. The Court would again consider the plea on September 22.
VS Achuthanandan had approached the High Court on Friday seeking a CBI probe into a case registered on the basis of claims by a relative of state minister PK Kunhalikutty that he had tried to influence witnesses in the ice cream parlour sex scandal.
According to Achuthanandan, during the past seven months, no investigation was done in the case registered on the basis of statements by KA Rauf, who later fell out of Kunhalikutty’s favour.
Rauf had alleged that Kunhalikutty used money power and him (Rauf) to influence witnesses, prosecutors, social workers and judicial officers to escape from the ice cream parlour sex case.
