Friday, September 02, 2011: The activists of the Students Federation
of India (SFI) today staged a protest march to secretariat demanding the
government not to raise the pension age to 60 years.
The march was inaugurated by SFI State secretary P Biju. Meanwhile
the State Finance Minister KM Mani has informed that the state
government has not taken a final decision on raising the pension age.
However the representatives of Kerala govt. employees have requested
the government to raise the pension age from current 55 years even as
the state has 4.3 million educated unemployed.
