CBSE question paper leaked: Four get life term


PortBlair, Thursday, 17 November 2011: Four persons include keralite have been sentenced to life by a special court here in the sensational CBSE question paper leak case.
The Court of Special Judge, Port Blair, Debi Prasad Dey, yesterday sent P. Krishnama Raju, Abdul Rasheed, M.J. Vijayan hailing from Kundara in Kollam district and Abdul Salam hailing from Malappuram to life imprisonment.
Another accused M.P. Arun was acquitted. The four convicted had hatched a criminal conspiracy in February, 2011 to get the CBSE class XII question papers leaked for the benefit of their children.

According to the judgement, Rasheed and Vijayan had travelled to Car Nicobar on February 14 and met the principal of the GSSS school, Lapathy, P. Krishnamaraju, at his residence where the question papers were photocopied.
The matter came to light on March three when a local daily reported that the Physics paper, the examination of which was held on March one, had been leaked. The Administration then launched a probe and a case was registered in the police station of Car Nicobar soon after
