Hoax bomb threat on train in Kollam

Thursday, November 10, 2011: A bomb threat forced the Southern Railway authorities to detain the Thiruvananthapuram-bound Delhi Kerala Express at Kollam station on Thursday afternoon.
The threat was received at Kollam East police station through an anonymous telephone call. The station authorities then alerted the higher officials of the Railways and security officials about the bomb threat.
The police and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials soon rushed to the station with a dog squad. However, a thorough search of the train proved that it was a hoax.
