Chennithala to observe fast on May 17

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Ramesh Chennithala will observe a 12-hour fast at Vadakara from 8 am on May 17 in protest against the politics of violence. KPCC general secretary M I Shanawaz said that all Congress mandalam committees except those in Vadakara and Koyilandy taluks would organise evening dharnas on the day. Such acts are to be condemned as these are not acceptable in a civilised society, the press note said.
