CPM leaders named accused in Fazal murder case
Wednesday, May 23, 2012: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team probing the sensational Fazal murder case informed the High Court that two CPM leaders have been named as accused the case.
Karai Rajan, member of CPM’s Kannur district secretariat and Karai Chandrasekharan, CPM local committee secretary in Thiruvangad, have been named as 7th and 8th accused in the case.
However the High Court postponed the anticipatory bail plea hearing of the duo on Monday. CBI had earlier stated in the High court that CPM local leaders Karayi Rajan and Karayi Chandrasekharan are the main conspirators behind the murder of Muhammad Fazal.
It was on October 22, 2006 Fazal was murdered by a group of people, within few days of his defecting from the CPM and joining the NDF.
