Ice-cream case: High Court rejects VS’ demand

Wednesday, May 2, 2012: The Kerala High Court today directed that the investigating report on the ice-cream case need not be given to opposition leader VS Achuthanandan.
A division bench comprising of acting chief justice Manjula Chellur rejected VS’ plea seeking a copy of the report.
The crime branch is re-investigating the case following the revelation of KA Rauf, co-brother of PK Kunhalikutty. The High Court is only monitoring the probe and asked VS to approach the magistrate court for the report.
The crime branch had handed over the investigating report to the high court in a sealed cover. The advocate general had opposed giving the copy to VS.
