KOZHIKODE: An Indian Union Muslim league (IUML) worker was attacked by a six-member armed gang while he was travelling by an auto to Feroke. Abdul Karim, 29, who was injured in the attack, was admitted to a private hospital in the city. As per the complaint received by the police, Abdul Karim was attacked by a group of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) workers at Perumukham near Feroke around 2.45 pm. The attackers had carried weapons including swords and iron rods and had fled from the spot soon after the incident, the complaint said. The police registered a case under Section 307 of the IPC.
