Probe into T.P murder case in right direction: DGP

Monday, May 21, 2012: DGP Jacob Punnoose today opined that the investigation into the murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party leader TP Chandrasekharan is moving in the right direction and those involved would be arrested soon.
Punnoose was here to attend a high-level meeting of police officials including the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the murder.
To a question, the DGP said he had never said that the murder was not political.
On the day of the killing of RMP leader on May 4, when mediapersons met the DGP here, Punnoose had said that it was a heinous murder. “I don’t use the word political,” he had reportedly said in response to a question.
