Scribe attack case: Abdul Rasheed’s bail plea dismissed

May 18, 2012: The Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court on Friday rejected the bail petition of DySP Abdul Rasheed in connection with the murder attempt on VB Unnithan, a reporter with the Mathrubhumi daily.
The CBI had informed the court on Thursday that it will interrogate the Crime Branch investigation officers who had initially probed the case. According to CBI, the three accused, DySP Abdul Rasheed, DySP Santhosh Nair, and notorious goon Container Santhosh had conspired to assault Unnithan.
